A new study conducted in 13 districts of Uganda by Democratic Engagement and Action shows that many people involved in election preparations and Ugandan politics anticipate violence around the 2021 election. Ugandans are already stirred up for the 2021 General Elections and political parties are working to win the hearts and minds of an increasingly excited population.

Kyambogo University supports pro-active activities aimed at making a fundamental contribution to democratic governance to make communities safer places to live and work in. The University is, therefore, organizing a public lecture on the theme “The Road to 2021, How Prepared are we?”
This public lecture will be hosted by Kyambogo University on December 2, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the CTF building.
Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, Chairperson Electoral Commission is a keynote speaker. The panellists include Ofwono Opondo, the government spokesperson, Nobert Mao, the DP President, Crispin Kaheru, former Coordinator CCEDU and Clare Ninsiima, the Senior Legal Officer, Kyambogo University.
