ABOUT – The Chief Internal Auditor

Daniel is a God fearing and loving servant, an Accountant, Assurance services provider and People skills advisor. He has a passion for quality, continuous improvement and value-added services and also believes in making his contribution as a Trusted Advisor.

He is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Accountant, Certified ISO 31000 Risk Management Professional and holder of Msc (Accounting & Finance); Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Certificate in Administrative Officers Law, Bachelor of Commerce and Uganda Diploma in Business Studies. He has also received training in Quality Management Systems (QMS ISO 9001:2008), Competence-Based Job Evaluation, Public Finance Reforms among others.

He has over 2 decades of experience in both Private and Public entities. His working experience entails operations, financial management and internal audit in the sectors of Print media, Electricity, Quality and Standards regulation as well as Tertiary education. Prior to his appointment as Chief Internal Auditor at Kyambogo University, he served in the same capacity at Uganda National Bureau of Standards and Busitema University. 

He is actively involved in governance responsibilities and serves on a number governing boards in the church, Secondary schools, financial institutions and a regional body. He is a member of several professional committees at the Institute of Internal Auditors of Uganda (IIA-Uganda) as well as Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

During his working and voluntary life, he has championed and fostered the establishment of policy frameworks and institutional capabilities in the areas of governance, auditing, risk management, financial and operations management. He has also been instrumental in nurturing marketplace fellowships at corporate workplace arena.

Daniel is a family man and enjoys a rich history of early childhood and education, in Manafwa district at the foot of Mt Elgon, Eastern Uganda. The latter part of his life is spent in the central region of the country where he has successfully earned his tertiary education and employment career.
