Our academics are actively involved in implementing the national and global educational reform through teaching, writing and presenting academic papers and undertaking research in education and related fields, at personal and supervisory levels.
Other research works currently on-going include the following:
- An assessment of gender roles and traditional knowledge systems in enhancing climate change adaptation and household food security in Lake Victoria Basin, Uganda (by Assoc. Prof. Ayikoru Joyce Asiimwe);
- “The Impact of the Government’s Science-based University Sponsorship Policy on Girls’ participation in Sciences at ‘A’ Level: A case of Mukono and Wakiso Districts in Uganda” (by Dr. Opit Elizabeth);
- Epistemological Foundations of Herbal Medicine in Uganda (by Dr. Kuteesa Disan Mugenyi);
Collaboration/Networking: The department benefits from collaboration with other academic and professional institutions within and outside the country. We look forward to establishing new frontiers in Uganda and beyond to broaden further the academic horizons.
