The Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation at Kyambogo University, Uganda, in partnership with The Norwegian Association of Disabled and other esteemed partners, is honoured to host the 1st East African Conference on Disability Inclusive Higher Education. This landmark event will take place from November 13th and 14th, 2024 at Kyambogo University in Kampala, Uganda.

In addition, a Preconference Dinner will be held on November 12th, 2024 at Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz, Kampala, Uganda.

The conference, themed “Universities of All and for All: Innovative and Transformative Strategies for Disability Inclusion in Higher Education,” is set to bring together a diverse group of academics, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders from across East Africa and beyond. The event will serve as a crucial platform for discussing and exploring innovative strategies to ensure that higher education is accessible and inclusive for all, particularly students with disabilities.

Call for Abstracts

The Organizing Committee is now inviting abstracts for paper and poster presentations. Interested participants are encouraged to submit their abstracts by August 11th, 2024. For detailed guidelines and submission procedures, please visit the Call for Abstracts page. Notifications regarding abstract decisions will be sent out by August 25th, 2024.
