Kyambogo University Non-Teaching staff defeated Teaching staff 4-0 in a football-friendly match organised by Kyambogo University convocation on 8th June 2022. Freeman Crispus from Public Relations Unit scored in the second half after Erick Musingizi Custodian had scored a hat trick.
The game was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya who thanked the convocation for organizing the friendly match also commended all teams for participating.
According to the convocation chairman Mr. Mbogo Kenneth, the friendly match was an opportunity to bring all staff together irrespective of categories, ranks and positions, an exercise which is good for their health, and also as a uniting activity for everyone where we can see all KYU community members in one place for the same purpose with one goal. Mbogo also noted that as convocation, they are organizing different Galas that include all games eg having Annual Convocation Sports Gala where all members come together to play different games all day and the winners get prizes of Bull roasting, trophies, medals and best players awarded for each activity played. He thanked all students, staff and Top Management for their cooperation every time they are called upon.
