In adherence to the regulations outlined by the Government of Uganda, the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority Act of 2003, we extend a cordial invitation to all eligible bidders within Uganda for the Prequalification of Supplies, Services, and Works for the fiscal years 2024/2025 to 2026/2027.

Here are the key details prospective bidders need to know:

  1. Bidding Procedures: Bidding will be conducted following the Open Domestic Bidding procedures stipulated in the aforementioned Act. All eligible bidders from Uganda are welcome to participate.
  2. Acquisition of Bidding Documents: Interested bidders can procure the Bidding Documents in English upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ugandan Shillings 100,000/=. This payment should be made payable to URA (Uganda Revenue Authority) by obtaining a payment reference number from the University Bursar’s Office, Room 3.
  3. Document Issuance: Bidding Documents will be issued starting from 4 days from the date of this advertisement.
  4. Submission Deadline: Sealed applications clearly marked with “Application for supply/provision of (indicate the Code and the Sub Category applied for)” should be physically delivered to the KYU Procurement & Disposal Unit no later than 12:00 noon on 23rd April, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day at 2:00 pm.
  5. Evaluation Criteria: The evaluation of bids will be based on criteria outlined in the Solicitation documents, in accordance with the procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act of 2003 and its Regulations, as amended.

Planned Procurement Schedule (Subject to change):

  • Publish bid Notice: 21st March, 2024
  • Bid Opening: 23rd April, 2024
  • Evaluation of bids: Within 10 working days
  • Display and communication of best-evaluated bidder notice: Within 10 working days from Contracts Committee approval of evaluation report
  • Contract award and signature (for frameworks): After the expiry of the best-evaluated bidder notice
