On June 13, 2024, Kyambogo University hosted a workshop organized by ZTE, focusing on internship opportunities, job openings, and new technologies in the field. A large number of students attended the event.

The CEO of ZTE, Mr. Wang, appreciated the university’s efforts in producing skilled engineers, particularly in telecom and electrical engineering. However, he noted a shortage of specialists in areas like IP and optimization and proposed collaboration with the department to bridge this gap.

Mr. Wang emphasized the importance of punctuality and encouraged students to apply for the internship program, highlighting that there was no limit on the number of positions available.

The Director of Human Resources, Mr. Daniel Balaba, provided insights into the company’s internship program and requirements. He also advised students to enhance their competitiveness by pursuing additional certifications such as CCNA and project management, and to work on improving their CVs.
