Kyambogo University co-organized the 3rd METODIC project study visit and meeting on 1-2/12/2025. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Assoc. Prof. Edirisa Mugampoza, who also represented top management, the Kyambogo University METODIC project team, as well as staff from the Department of Textile and Leather Technology. METODIC is a capacity-building project in Textile Sustainability, implemented by 10 Partner institutions from Sub-Saharan Africa (Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia) and Europe (Greece and Belgium). The project aims to enhance expertise in sustainable textile practices and strengthen collaboration between regional and European partners.

Within the framework of the visit, the following activities took place:
- 3rd Project Meeting
- Training series for academic and non-academic staff – development/enhancement of Collaboration Offices Campus by the European partners
- Workshop with industry representatives
- Co-creation of academia-industry partnership strategies (IDEC)
- Consultation on mobility schemes -Refinement of interinstitutional mobility for staff & students, integration into curricula, alignment with industry needs (UNIWA)
- Visits to industrial units and Research Institutes
- Cultural engagement
