Important Information for Applicants

Applicants are advised to consult the University website at https://kyu.ac.ug for detailed information on specific programme requirements and the applicable fees structure. All applicants must use programme codes, rather than programme names, when filling out the online application forms.

The University has not appointed any agents to solicit additional funds beyond the stated application fee. Applicants are therefore cautioned against purchasing any documents purported to originate from the Office of the Academic Registrar, as this is done at their own risk.

Any form of impersonation, submission of falsified documents, or provision of false or incomplete information, whether discovered during application, registration, or after admission, will result in automatic cancellation of admission and may lead to prosecution.

Applicants who obtained overall grades of 7, 9, Y, or Z at O-Level do not qualify for University admission and should not apply. In addition, candidates must have passed the Uganda Certificate of Education with at least six passes, meaning six subjects without a grade 9, or its equivalent.

After making payment, applicants are advised to check the email address used during registration for confirmation. If no confirmation is received within 30 minutes, applicants should log into their application accounts and verify the status of their application.

If the payment status does not reflect as “PAID” within 24 hours, applicants should contact the University using the following channels: 0414-287343 / 220464 / 268337 or email bursar@kyu.ac.ug.
