Academic Calendar for Semester I 2026/2027 Academic Year for Freshers and Continuing Programmes
At its 89th Meeting held on Wednesday, 08th April 2026, the Senate approved the Academic Calendar Semester I 2026/2027 Academic Year, for Freshers and other Continuing Students.
The Senate agreed that the Faculty/School/Institute Deans /Directors work together with Heads of Departments to make adequate preparations for teaching and learning.

| 1. | Saturday 01st August, 2026. | Fresh Resident Students report. |
| 2. | Monday 03rd - Sunday 9th August, 2026. | Orientation Week for Freshers (1 Week). |
| 3. | Saturday 8th August, 2026 | Continuing Resident Students report. |
| 4. | Monday 10h August, – Monday 23rd November, 2026 | Teaching and Learning (15 weeks). |
| 5. | Tuesday 24th November – Sunday 6th December, 2026 | Examinations for Semester I 2026/2027 (2 Weeks). |
| 6. | Sunday 6th December, 2026 | End of Semester I 2026/2027 Academic Year. |
| 9 | Wednesday 9th – Friday 11th December, 2026 | 22nd Graduation Ceremony (3 days). |
Note: College Practice and School Practice will take place in line with the School Calendar.
Vice Chancellor
