Kyambogo University, through the Office of the Academic Registrar, invites applications for admission to selected Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. This addendum provides additional programme offerings and guidance to prospective applicants.

Applicants are advised to ensure that they meet the prescribed academic requirements for each programme, as no application will be considered outside the stated criteria. All graduate programmes are privately sponsored, and the indicated tuition fees exclude functional fees, research costs, accommodation, books, bank charges, and other related expenses.

Programmes Offered

The addendum highlights graduate programmes under the following schools:

School of Education

  • Master of Education in Curriculum Studies
  • Master of Education in Educational Technology
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Studies
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Technology

School of Vocational Studies

  • Master of Hospitality and Tourism

Each programme has specific entry requirements, including relevant Bachelor’s degrees or Postgraduate Diplomas from institutions recognized by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

Duration of Programmes

  • Postgraduate Diplomas: One Academic Year
  • Master’s Degrees:
    • Two Academic Years (Entry at Year One)
    • One Academic Year (Entry at Year Two, where applicable)

Application Procedure

All applications are submitted online through the University admissions portal: https://apply.kyu.ac.ug

Applicants should follow these steps:

  1. Register on the admissions portal using a valid email and mobile number.
  2. Verify your account using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent via email and SMS.
  3. Log in and update your password.
  4. Complete the application form under “Apply Now” or “My Portal.”
  5. Upload all required academic and supporting documents.
  6. Upload a completed referee’s recommendation form.
  7. Submit the application form.
  8. Generate a payment reference number and pay the application fee.

The application fee is:

  • UGX 50,000 for Ugandan and East African applicants
  • UGX 75,000 for international applicants (excluding bank charges)

Important Notes

  • A printed copy of the completed application form, along with certified academic documents, passport photo, and three referee letters, must be submitted to the Directorate of Research and Graduate Training (Uganda Block, Room 1).
  • Applications without proof of payment will not be considered.
  • Documents in languages other than English must be officially translated.
  • Academic qualifications obtained outside Uganda must be equated by NCHE.
