Welcome to Kyambogo University’s Office of the Academic Registrar! We are delighted to announce the commencement of applications for our esteemed Graduate Programmes for the academic year 2024/2025. This is an opportunity for aspiring scholars to embark on a journey of academic excellence and professional growth at one of Uganda’s premier institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants must meet the prerequisite qualifications, both academic and professional, as outlined in the advertisement. We emphasize adherence to these criteria, as applications falling outside the prescribed requirements will not be considered.

Programme Details

All Graduate Programmes offered are on a privately sponsored basis. The tuition fees specified for each programme do not cover additional expenses such as functional fees, research costs, books, accommodation, bank charges, and other miscellaneous expenses.

  • Postgraduate Diplomas: One Academic Year
  • Master’s Degrees: Two Academic Years
  • PhD (Provisional Admission): One Academic Year (Maximum)
  • PhD (Full Admission): Three Academic Years

Application Procedure

To apply, please follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the online application form available on our website: Apply Now
  2. Upon submission of the form, print the pay slip and proceed to pay the non-refundable application fee.
    • Ugandan, Kenyan, Tanzanian, Rwandese, Burundian, Congolese (DRC), and South Sudanese applicants: UGX 50,000/=
    • International applicants: UGX 75,000/= (excluding bank charges)
  3. Print two copies of the filled system-generated biodata form.
  4. Attach two certified copies of your academic documents, two copies of all other relevant academic documents, two passport photos, and three referees’ letters of recommendation. Referees’ letters can be downloaded here.
  5. Submit the documents to Kyambogo University Directorate of Research and Graduate Training, Uganda Block Room 1.

Please note:

  • Academic documents in languages other than English must be translated by a recognized institution, and a certificate of translation must be attached.
  • Documents obtained outside Uganda should be certified by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) before submission.
  • Applicants encountering difficulties with the online application process can seek assistance from the Kyambogo University Directorate of Research and Graduate Training.
