In a remarkable convergence of academia and royalty, Kyambogo University celebrates the impending nuptials of its distinguished alumnus, the Kyabazinga, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV. The grand event is scheduled to take place on November 18th, 2023, at the majestic Bugembe Cathedral in Jinja, Uganda.

The journey to this momentous occasion can be traced back to 2011 when the Kyabazinga graduated from Kyambogo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Economics. Little did the university community know that this was just the beginning of an illustrious trajectory that would see one of their own ascend to such a prestigious position in society.

As a testament to the deep connection between the Kyabazinga and his alma mater, Kyambogo University has generously contributed 4 million shillings towards the royal wedding. This financial gesture not only reflects the university’s commitment to its alumni but also underscores the pride it takes in seeing one of its graduates assume a position of such significance.

In a heartfelt send-off meeting for the convocation, team headed to Jinja, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. Stephen Kasumba expressed his profound honour in witnessing this historic occasion. He articulated the university’s immense pride in having an alumnus of Kyabazinga’s stature, acknowledging the pivotal role that education at Kyambogo played in shaping his journey.

During the meeting, Dr. Kasumba extended his heartfelt prayers for a blessed and prosperous marriage to the royal couple. The convocation team, led by Dr. Bunoti Sarah Nantono Nangobi, a former lecturer and a close friend to the royal family, will be representing Kyambogo University at the ceremony with great joy and honour.

Kyambogo University, through its convocation team, wishes Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV and his soon-to-be spouse, Inebantu Jovia Mutesi, a lifetime of happiness and prosperity. This union not only marks a significant chapter in the Kyabazinga’s personal life but also stands as a symbol of the achievements and successes that can emerge from the nurturing grounds of Kyambogo University. May their journey together be filled with love, understanding, and the enduring spirit of the Kyambogo community.
