The Kyambogo University Guidance and Counselling Unit, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Uganda Counselling Association, TPO Uganda, StrongMinds Uganda, Safe Places Uganda, Sauti Uganda, Afaayo Initiative, and MindLyfe, invites students, staff, and the university community to the 4th Counselling Open Day on 7th February 2025 at CTF Auditorium 105.
Theme: “Thriving through Challenges: Empowering Mental Wellness in University Life”
This event aims to raise awareness about professional counselling services, the role of the Guidance and Counselling Unit, and the importance of embracing psychological support. Many university students face mental health challenges due to issues related to sexuality, health, addictions, relationships, and academics. The event will bring together key partners, universities including Makerere University, MUBS, Bugema University, and Busitema University, as well as secondary schools such as Kyambogo College and Nabisunsa S.S. This collaboration aims to foster a broader conversation on mental wellness and provide holistic support to students at all levels of education.
