The Academic Registrar, Kyambogo University, invites online applications from Certificate/Diploma holders In-Service Teachers only to the following under-listed In-Service Education External Programmes for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Each applicant should possess at least a Credit or Second Class or equivalent Certificate/Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution plus a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes (i.e. subjects without a grade 9) (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass and two subsidiary passes in the principal subjects for Sciences and two principal passes for Arts in the principal subjects obtained at the same sitting (or its equivalent). On submitting the application form, print out a pay slip and pay a non-refundable fee of Shs.50,000/= for Ugandans and East African Nationals and $ 30 for other International applicants plus bank charges levied by any bank integrated with the Academic Management Information System (ACMIS).

Applicants with qualifications from countries other than Uganda must submit photocopies of equated academic documents issued by UNEB/NCHE to Kyambogo University (Admissions Office, Block 2 – Room 3). On submission of the online application, print out the application form, attach copies of the equated academic documents and submit them to Kyambogo University (Admissions Office, Block 2 – Room 3) not later than the closing date for receiving online applications. Ugandan nationals must submit a printed application form and attach Original Certified Copies of their academic documents to MAIN CAMPUS (ADMISSIONS OFFICE, BLOCK 2 – ROOM 3), BUSHENYI, SOROTI AND PAIDHA LEARNING CENTRES. The Deadline for receiving online application forms is Friday 10th November 2024 at Midnight.

NB: Only applicants with Original Certified Academic Transcripts and Certificates shall be considered for admission. Applicants who may find challenges filling out the online application form can seek assistance from the Learning Centres or Main Campus (Admissions Office, Block 2- Room 3). Applicants who had already applied for programmes offered at Paidha Learning Centre and submitted their academic documents shall be considered for admission using the earlier submission and need not to re-apply.

  3. Use the Programme Code (Not the full name of the programmes) when filling the online application forms.
  4. Do not buy any other documents not originating from the office of the Academic Registrar. Those who do so, do it at their own risk. BEWARE OF CONMEN AND CONWOMEN!
  5. The Academic Registrar has not appointed any agents to act on her behalf to solicit for additional funds other than the application fee stated above.

  8. To confirm receipt of your application payment, please check the e-mail address you used to sign up. If you do not receive any message within 30 minutes after payment, please log into your application account and check the status of the application form you have paid for.   1. Lists of successful applicants and admission letters shall be sent to the respective Learning Centres.
  2. Applicants should provide correct information on O’Level year of completion, Index Number and grades obtained per subject. A photocopy of the O’Level Pass Slip and Certificate, a Grade III Results – Slip and Certificate, and an Original Certified copy of the Certificate/Diploma Certificate and Transcript should be submitted to Kyambogo University-Main Campus (Admissions Office, Block 2 – Room 3), Bushenyi, Soroti, or Paidha Learning Centres with the printed application form for verification purposes. Applicants with qualifications from outside Uganda should submit photocopies of Original documents in addition to UNEB/NCHE equated results. Applicants who obtained an overall Grade of 7, 9, Y or Z at O’Level do not qualify for University admission and need not to apply.  One should have also passed at least 5 subjects at O’Level (i.e. 5 subjects without a Grade 9).
  1. Applicants are warned that cases of impersonation, falsification of documents or giving false/incomplete information either discovered at registration or afterwards, will lead to automatic cancellation of admission, besides being referred to Police for prosecution.
  2. Original Certified copies not photocopies of certified copies of Results-Slip and Certificate of Grade III Teachers’ Certificate in Primary Teacher Education, and Transcript and Certificate of Diploma in Education from a recognized institution should be submitted to KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY MAIN CAMPUS (ADMISSIONS OFFICE, BLOCK 2- ROOM 3) BUSHENYI, SOROTI AND PAIDHA LEARNING CENTRES.
