Welcome message of the Vice-Chancellor
I am pleased to serve Kyambogo University and share in its vision to be a centre of academic and professional excellence.
Kyambogo University is a unique university with a niche in engineering, vocational education, teacher education and special needs education. Since its inception in 2003, the University has continued to produce industrious engineers, teachers, and experts in special needs and vocational skills who have contributed to national development. Kyambogo University has the mandate to credit, supervise, develop the curriculum and assess the teachers at four levels, namely: early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary teacher training. This makes Kyambogo a leading University in education in Uganda.
The University has a well-established Governing Council, Senate and other structures that ensure high quality of output and service delivery taking into account integrity, equity and professionalism in all dealings and execution of the University’s mandate.
Our promise is to equip each student with relevant knowledge and hands-on skills required for enterprises and to excel in the world of work. We have; a serene learning and working environment at the campus with experienced and dedicated staff, which enables us to deliver on our promise.
As Vice-Chancellor, I have the vision to transform Kyambogo University into a truly international, research-active institution with better-qualified staff, adequate facilities and ICT infrastructure, to produce high quality, relevant and skilled graduates.
